Remember Bracelets

Every life has a story

If people ask why you’re wearing this black wristband, explain it is a way of remembering the loved one whose life you have come to celebrate.

Women used to wear black dresses and men wore black arm bands to commemorate their loss.  The REMEMBER wristband is a visual reminder to you and others that you have suffered a loss in your life.  Tell those who ask about your loss, and what the person meant to you.

Each of us grieves in our own way.  Generally you can expect to feel any number of different emotions; there is no right way to grieve.  Grief is a uniquely personal experience a sense of loss.

When we gather to acknowledge loss, we share something special that we can keep forever: memories.  The experiences we shared, the story of their life and yours…each is a story of its own.

Keep the following in mind to help you in the healing process:

Remember: Each one of us touched so many lives.  When we are gone, we want people to remember certain things about us.  Take the time during this service to call upon your own memories.

Share: You may not know everyone here today, but the people around you knew the one who is being honored.  It is normal to share.  Don’t let the fact that you don’t know the person sitting next to you from sharing your own memories.

Cry: Your tears are an acknowledgement of the one who has died.  Many people have cried before you, so don’t be afraid to show how you feel.

Thank you for coming today.  Your memories are important, and your presence here is meaningful.  We are honored to have been of service to you at this difficult time.

If you would like your own REMEMBER band please stop by of office.  We would like to invite you to find your loved one in our Obituaries and add your memory to their page.
