Sioux Falls – Ronald F. “Ron” Healy, 70, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at his residence in Sioux Falls, SD.

A memorial visitation will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2010 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with the family present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2010 at George Boom Funeral Home.

Ronald F. “Ron” Healy, the son of Francis and Pearl (Spicer) Healy was born September 26, 1939 in Montrose, SD. He graduated from high school in Montrose. On January 1, 1961, Ron enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS before his discharge in 1965.

On August 15, 1969, Ron was united in marriage with Eloise “Toni” Altena in Sioux Falls. Ron worked for Munce Brothers moving and storage as a truck driver, and later for Parker Transfer and Storage for a total of 33 years. He retired in 2002.

Ron enjoyed fishing, playing in a pool league, golfing, and watching the Minnesota Vikings.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Toni of Sioux Falls; a son, Christopher “Scott” Healy of Sioux Falls; his in-laws, Sam and Wilma Altena of George, IA; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Kathy Altena of George; a nephew, Cory (Shelly) Altena and their daughter, Kinsly, of George; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
