Harriet Elizabeth “Betty” Robinson was born on a farm near Pipestone, MN, on December 22, 1918, to Harry and Luella (Afdahl) Muxfelt. As a young child she moved to Sioux Falls. She graduated from Washington High School in 1936.
She was united in marriage to Rowland “Pudge” Robinson on November 23, 1940 at East Side Lutheran Church.
She worked at Fenn’s, Toyland, and Lewis Drug. Betty was a member of Brandon Lutheran where she taught Sunday school and was active in several circles and Bible studies. Betty was instrumental in starting the nursery and worked there many Sundays.
Betty Loved to knit and was a beautiful seamstress making many clothes for her children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. Grandma Betty made the best home-made spaghetti sauce. She also enjoyed playing the piano, reading, playing cards and Yahtzee.
She became a resident of Good Sam’s in 2005. For the past few years she did not know anyone but would always “light up” when the great-grandchildren would come to visit. Although she could not communicate very well, whenever she was told she was loved she would always reply, “I love you, too”.
